In view of this, the CBN and the Small and Medium Enterprise Bank of Nigeria have concluded plans to help SMEs respond adequately to the change.
The organisers, Gold Apples Group in collaboration with Media Glitz Limited, said on Friday that other key institutions would join forces with the duo of CBN and SMEDAN to ensure that SMEs tapped into opportunities in the cash-less ecosystem.
Mr. Kayode Yeku, on behalf of the organisers on Friday, identified the key institutions as the Ministry of Communications Technology, National Information Technology Development Agency, Nigeria Internet Registration Association and Nigeria Computer Society.
Yeku said SME owners were being targeted to embrace the change, “being the first line of the business publics that will drive the cash-less project through their various businesses.”
To further encourage SMEs to take their businesses to the next level, he stated further that all SMEs had the unique opportunity to benefit immensely through a guaranteed volume rebate of between 50 -70 per cent on offer at the event by all participating vendor companies by registering before the event.
